IWLEX returns for second year

29 February 2024

The Inside Warehouse and Logistics Exhibition (IWLEX) - shaped by the industry for the industry - has relocated to NAEC Stoneleigh to accommodate The UK Festival of Warehousing.

IWLEX IS also undergoing a transformation, sub-branding itself as IWLEX, The UK Festival of Warehousing. This exciting change brings a celebratory theme to the event, promising visitors a remarkably fun and productive day out.

IWLEX’s managing director Nairn Foster says: “IWLEX will continue to be shaped by the industry, for the industry.  Our core pillars and focus on inclusion remain the bedrock of our event. But our new branding IWLEX – The UK Festival of Warehousing, shows our determination to create something fresh, vibrant and new that celebrates our ever-evolving sector and delivers a valuable and memorable day out for our visitors. There will be an increased focus on practical demonstrations, hundreds of exhibitors, and a festival feel of fun, food, music, laughter and community.”

Women in Logistics

IWLEX 2024 host a Women in Warehousing and Logistics networking event at the exhibition. Ruth Waring FCILT, a highly regarded professional with 34 years’ experience in the logistics and warehousing industry, is the owner of RW Consulting, specialising in transport compliance, health and safety, and training. In 2008, Ruth Waring, along with UKWA’s chief executive Clare Bottle, founded Women in Logistics UK, which has flourished within CILT (UK). The networking event for IWLEX, titled Women in Warehousing and Logistics (WIWL), is projected to attract hundreds of female professionals from within the industry.

Ruth Waring said: “I have been supporting and advising the IWLEX team since its inception in 2022 and have been encouraged by their genuine commitment to creating an exhibition that is fully open and inclusive for all.

“It’s refreshing that the organisers have recognised the importance of supporting and creating an event that delivers relevant content from a female professional’s perspective and celebrates the success and incredible female role models that operate at every level of our sector. The industry has come a long way since we founded Women in Logistics in 2008, but there is still plenty of work to do to ensure that more women are attracted to our sector and supported, trained, and encouraged to reach their full potential and career objectives. IWLEX will allow us to come together, share knowledge, and further encourage each other.”

The Women in Warehousing and Logistics (WIWL) networking event is scheduled for the afternoon of May 14th, 2024, and will consist of a dedicated 3-hour slot. Features will include speed mentoring, inspiring female leader keynotes, and structured networking opportunities.

Careers Fair

The organisers of IWLEX have appointed Nimble Media, who organise the inspiring Big Logistics Diversity Challenge to produce a Careers Fair at the exhibition. The IWLEX Careers Fair will allow organisations and corporates that have a Warehouse Operation, to send a representative from their HR team to promote their business and the opportunities that exist. They will be able to schedule meetings with interested parties on the IWLEX event app. The IWLEX careers fair will be open to all levels of professionals from students to seasoned professionals and has been designed in line with IWLEX’s core pillars of adding value to the Warehouse community it serves. The Careers Fair will be marketed to universities and the wider warehouse sector.

IWLEX 2024 will take place at NAEC Stoneleigh on the 14th and 15th of May.
