DEVELOPER CANMOOR has lodged the detailed plans with St Helens Council for a 990,279 ft2 scheme on a 49.42 acre greenfield site north of the Haydock Lane Industrial Estate.

The new development will see the development of ten unts ranging in size from 18,890 to 504,225 ft2 with eaves heights from 8 – 12.5m.

The scheme known as Millfield Park has been designed to achieve a target BREEAM rating of Excellent, with EPC ratings of A and to also meet the minimum requirements of the St Helens Local Plan in respect of energy efficiency to minimise the carbon emissions form the new units.

The site was recently allocated for employment use in the recently adopted St Helen’s Local Plan. It has good transport links to Junctions 23 and 24 of the M6 motorway as well as the East Lancs Road (A580).

In the planning statement the developer said: “This development represents an opportunity to create a high-quality, sustainable development to suit the needs of future occupiers and meet market demand.”

Once operational, the scheme could support between 1,190 and 1,860 jobs.

Joint letting agents on the scheme are Savills and B8 Real Estate.
