An answer to cargo theft
Transport logistics provider Pentalver has secured exclusive UK rights to offer the CakeBoxx range of door-less shipping containers.
With the first containers being introduced by Pentalver in September 2014, the patented CakeBoxx intermodal shipping container offers secure, cost-effective and damage-resistant container options for shipping and transportation.
Sam Baggley, Pentalver UK’s container sales manager says: “The CakeBoxx range enables Pentalver to lead the way in intermodal transportation and is a long-awaited answer to the perennial issue of cargo theft. The door-less design also makes the container highly customisable, providing the perfect solution for shippers and trans loaders loading irregular shaped cargo.”
CakeBoxx containers are ISO-compliant and fit into all intermodal processes, including stacking, storage, terminal transfers, as well as ship, rail and truck haulage. All standard container-handling equipment can be used to raise and lower the CakeBoxx container lid.
The CakeBoxx container product line includes:
•CakeBoxx Standard – standard 20’ and 40’ CakeBoxx models for dry cargo.
•FreshBoxx – an insulated version of the CakeBoxx that maintains the temperature of temperature sensitive cargo for up to 72 hours without costly mechanical refrigeration equipment.
•ShortBoxx – a half-height CakeBoxx that can be double-stacked in the same space as a traditional container, making it ideal for shipping heavy and drum cargo.
•CustomBoxx – the unique, door-less design of the CakeBoxx makes it highly customisable to meet unique, user-defined shipping and storage needs.
Daine Eisold, chief executive officer of US-based CakeBoxx Technologies says: “At CakeBoxx we think in terms of solutions, not just product sales. Pentalver was an easy partner choice for us to make. They are not only the most capable and most well-respected container depot operator in the country, but they are a ‘thought-leader’ in the industry.”
