Tomorrow’s Warehouse Coventry gives a platform for ops people to talk to an audience of ops people about lessons learned around warehouse transformation.

JOIN US at the Coventry Building Society Arena in Coventry on 14 May 2026, for a focus on peer to peer learning that promises to transform your approach to warehouse operations.

The learning journey starts in the Operations Theatre as we tackle the nuts and bolts of warehouse transformation. With a strong background in lean, Adrian Ancliff, Head of Operations, Bilstein Group UK places great emphasis on continuous improvement. In this presentation, he outlines how rapid and constant small changes are more effective than a ‘big change, dwell, big change, dwell’ pattern.

In his presentation, Miroslaw Zarembski, Director of Solutions Design, DSV asks – is automation right for your warehouse? This no-hype seminar is about understanding your warehouse, exploring your options, and learning how to specify solutions correctly.

Rounding out Session 1, Obinna Njoku, Head of Automation, HellermannTyton offers insights and advice on achieving ROI in automated warehousing. Obinna has held a number of prestigious roles in UK warehousing, including Warehouse Transformation Manager at PepsiCo. Attendees will gain practical insights into aligning automation strategy with business objectives, selecting technologies that scale, and avoiding pitfalls.

As with every session, there will be a discussion panel where attendees will have a priceless opportunity to quiz our speakers, as well as a selection of our event partners.

Digital twins

The second session kicks off with a wake up call on digital twins. Simon Ratcliffe has worked for The White Company, Debenhams, Fat Face and more as a supply chain and warehousing leader and he will present on how logistics professionals need to get to grips with digital twins now and how this shift in technology will change the emphasis of their roles in the coming years.

David Bailey, Director of Consumer Products in the UK, Arvato will deliver a presentation on scaling an automation installation, covering context, operational drivers, software considerations and real impact on people. Expect actionable takeaways for your next project.

This session will also include an exciting presentation from Headline Sponsor Westernacher, a global SAP Gold Partner specialising in logistics and business transformation.

AI

In a session focused on early insights into AI use in logistics, Claire Charlton, Head of Open Innovation, GXO Logistics asks – is there a sausage as well as the sizzle? Examining operational use cases Claire Charlton shares how GXO is applying its mature open innovation approach to early experimentation with agentic AI.

Emile Naus, Partner, Bearing Point will join Claire, presenting on AI in warehouse operations – hype and reality. This session will discuss what has been done and what is working as well as some things that don’t work. It will also look forward to the likely impacts in the future, how will AI continue to drive improvements in operations, and why it won’t replace people, but will change how those people work.

Awards

The final session of the day will be dedicated to honouring winners at The Warehouse Transformation Awards. These are the people and teams who are at the cutting edge of achieving results in the warehouse and logistics sector. Be sure to stick around for the drinks reception and to give winners the plaudits they deserve.

Property

Over on the Property Theatre, we kick off with a bang, with Will Arnold, Director UK Logistics, JLL, who will unpack the forces reshaping the Warehouse Property market, from occupier behaviour and rental dynamics to ESG, automation, and the growing gap between prime and secondary stock.

Mike Teague, Head of Industrial & Logistics, Corstorphine & Wright Architects will focus on getting what you want as an occupier, asking are the warehouses being brought to market providing the best fit for occupiers?

Jo Russell, Planning Director at Stoford brings a developer’s perspective to the agenda, asserting that as occupier requirements grow more complex, the era of one-size-fits-all warehouses is fading fast. In this presentation, Jo shares insights into current warehouse development trends and demonstrates how Stoford partners with occupiers to shape buildings around real operational needs.

Finally, Property Theatre sponsor Consultus Group (Ennovus Solutions) will also present in this session, tackling the energy concerns around your warehouse property. Stephen Lankfer, Associate Director, Ennovus Solutions will present on how warehouses are under increasing pressure to reduce energy costs, lower carbon emissions, and improve operational efficiency, often without dedicated in-house resource. Stephen will explore the practical steps you can take to deliver the above. From identifying hidden energy waste to submetering and on-site renewables, discover actionable strategies that help you cut costs, stay compliant, and build a more resilient future for your operations.

Defence spending

In the following session, Andrew Blennerhassett, Associate Director, Savills, will present on how rising geopolitical risk and Europe’s shift toward higher defence spending will accelerate demand for specialised logistics assets.

Claire Williams, Head of UK and Industrial Research, Knight Frank delves into the company’s Future Gazing report, which emphasises the need for investors, developers and landlords to look closely at the cubic capacity of their industrial and logistics stock.

Jake Howard, Associate Development Director, Tritax Big Box will talk about how the specification for logistics facilities has evolved over time and how Tritax Big Box sees property continuing to evolve to meet the sector’s needs in the future.
