FSDF helps with DEFRA food chain emergency planning

DEFRA has published two new reports examining the potential impact of natural disasters on UK food supply and appropriate contingency planning.

The FSDF is a key member of the Department for Environment, Food & Rural Affairs (DEFRA) Food Chain Emergency Planning Group.

The reports, Resilience of the Food Supply to Port Flooding on the East Coast (FO0454) and Extreme Weather and Resilience in the Food Chain (FO0456) examine the impact of extreme weather for all stakeholders in the food chain and address the government’s concerns on food chain resilience by planning for the future.
