New edition of WMS for eCommerce use
Snapfulfil is to launch a brand new edition of its best-in-breed WMS, aimed specifically at growing eCommerce retailers.
Offering all the same functionality as the award-winning Snapfulfil SaaS WMS, the new edition offers increased flexibility around user numbers and hardware provision and is available either as a paper-based and/or real time RF barcode scanning system.
Snapfulfil commercial director, Gavin Clark, says: “The biggest eCommerce retailers are continually ‘upping the ante’ in terms of the service they offer and, in today’s world of endless choice and aggressive competition, consumers make little distinction between the price and service they expect, whether it be from a multi-national corporation or an eBay seller.
“Meeting these expectations mandates that retailers’ inventory moves with greater speed and precision than ever before. Within the warehouse, this demands impeccable stock accuracy and a dynamically orchestrated fulfilment operation. To achieve this, a best-in-breed warehouse management system is a must.”
“The advent of cloud computing has made Tier 1 WMS functionality more affordable and accessible and our new edition helps level the playing field, giving smaller organisations a fighting chance when it comes to fulfilment.”
Snapfulfil WMS is helping a growing number of eCommerce retailers, including Bensons for Beds, The Cotswold Company, The Hut Group and Oak Furniture Land, to streamline their fulfilment operations, typically improving operational efficiency by up to 30% and helping them to deliver excellent service, in line with ever higher customer expectations.
Snapfulfil can be found on Stand 614 at eCommerce Expo which takes place from 30 September-1 October at London Olympia
Carousel
Fast growing logistics provider, Carousel Logistics, has again selected the Snapfulfil SaaS WMS to support its continued growth.
Third party logistics firm Carousel has a diverse range of clients and offers services including time-specified and out of hours services, as well as reverse logistics and consolidation.
As part of its commitment to delivering the highest levels of service, Carousel initially implemented Snapfulfil in its three existing warehouses in early 2014. Due to continued growth and a major new business win, Carousel will shortly open a fourth facility, taking the total amount of warehousing operated by the company to more than 100,000 sq ft.
Crafts retailer
To support rapid growth, LoveCrafts has engaged the services of Clipper Logistics to manage its UK warehousing and fulfilment operation from a facility in the North West.
With its US logistics partner already using Snapfulfil, LoveCrafts evaluated the system alongside Clipper’s existing Tier 1 WMS. Offering all of the required functionality at a fraction of the cost, LoveCrafts took the decision to implement Snapfulfil in the outsourced UK fulfilment operation.
LoveCrafts’ head of logistics & operations, James Miles said: “As a rapidly growing business still in the early stages of our development, we needed to find a warehouse management system with full Tier 1 functionality that didn’t require a significant upfront investment. Having seen Snapfulfil in our US operation we were confident it would be able to keep pace with our growth as we scale our UK operation.”
CoolGlow
In 2014, the US firm faced challenges of available warehouse inventory space to support order growth and managing operations via disparate home grown software solutions they no longer wished to support.
To address these challenges they secured a new facility in 2015 to support their five year growth projections and evaluated WMS that could meet their scalable supply chain solution requirements. After an extensive review of WMS solutions, the company chose Snapfulfil because fit had Tier 1 capabilities and involves no capital expenditure
Coolglow CEO Ned Hakam said: “We require our capital deployed towards growth and expansion of our business. We evaluated a number of solutions and found Snapfulfil’s superior user interface, SaaS/Cloud model, inclusive solution options, no upfront capital expense, long term partnership support and rapid deployment ability met all of our requirements.
“Snapfulfil has a proven long term success rate with numerous eCommerce companies which was a significant requirement for our decision. We were so impressed with their company, software, and client list that we engaged Snapfulfil for a multi-year opportunity to support CoolGlow as a strategic partner to our future success.”
With Snapfulfil, CoolGlow will no longer need a home grown inventory management system, will remove paper from its operations, increase inventory and order accuracies, optimise warehouse space utilisation, increase labour efficiencies, and be live with the solution in roughly 45 business days to support the go live of the new facility.
With a cloud-based WMS, Snapfulfil maintains and provides the application and hardware infrastructure. CoolGlow will access the WMS via a web browser and gain the functional benefits and speed-to-value of a Tier 1 WMS without the capital expense, hardware costs or IT resources typically needed to support an on-premise system.
