Online retailer to automate fulfilment centre

The building will measure 50,000m², which is the equivalent to eight football pitches, and will have 135,000m² of floor space. Delivery of the project is expected to be in the second half of 2017 and bol.com aims to achieve an ‘Excellent’ BREEAM sustainability rating for the building.

Construction has started and is expected to take a year, after which the intralogistics systems will be fitted by TGW. The site, the building and its equipment will be the property of bol.com. Docdata, the current fulfilment partner of bol.com, will take care of the personnel and daily management of the new location.
