Pick-it-Easy Evo workstation launches

Using its experience from the delivery of over 1000 workstations from its Pick-it-Easy series to date, KNAPP has developed Pick-it-Easy Evo with the aim of raising the quality and performance of warehouse workstations to a whole new level. 

Designed in co-operation with TÜV Rheinland and the Occupational Health Centre in Graz, Austria, the new goods-to-person workstation enables ergonomic operation and features KNAPP’s intuitive easyUse user interface. Pick-it-Easy Evo minimises the strain resulting from stretching, stooping and lifting. The new workstation also embodies KNAPP’s zero defect philosophy; the LED displays and touch screens combine with the intuitive easyUse interface to ensure a simple, accurate and productive workplace experience. The result is error-free, efficient processes and shorter training time required for new personnel. Additional quality assurance equipment is available with Pick-it-Easy Evo including light curtains, scales, scanners and image recognition technology for photo documentation.

The multi-functional workstation has been developed with KNAPP’s OSR Shuttle Evo automated storage system in mind. In addition to traditional connection to the storage system through a pre-zone, the Pick-it-Easy Evo can also be connected directly to the OSR Shuttle in order to save space and guarantee a streamlined system. As with the rest of the Pick-it-Easy series, the modular design of the Pick-it-Easy Evo ensures maximum flexibility, allowing the workstation to be scaled to individual requirements, with a variety of configurations. A multitude of functions can be performed at a single workstation, ranging from standard processes such as picking, decanting, consolidation and returns handling, to specific customer operations. Furthermore, Pick-it-Easy Evo is designed to handle a broad range of goods and load carriers – containers, trays and cartons in various dimensions – with loads of up to 50kg.
