US logistics provider ‘falls foul’ of DNA test laws

The bizarre tale began when the warehouse, run by Atlas Logistics Group, began finding piles of excrement in the public workspace. Investigating the matter, supervisors struggled to catch the culprit.

They then forced two workers, Dennis Reynolds and Jack Lowe, to submit to cheek swabbing, comparing their DNA to the DNA found in the excrement.

Both men were exonerated by the test, and then challenged the right of Atlas to demand the test. 

The court ruled the company did not have the right, and awarded Reynolds and Lowe $2.2 million. Atlas says it will appeal the ruling and size of the award.
