FTA, the business organisation which represents the logistics industry, has written to government to request urgent clarity on the COVID-19 furloughing scheme, as well as other financial arrangements for businesses facing hardship and collapse as a result of the current pandemic.
Enquiries into FTA’s Member Advice Centre (MAC) have more than doubled since the start of the Covid-19 outbreak.
The association welcomed assistance for logistics businesses but said some key items were unresolved.
