THE COMPANY has secured a 10 year lease on the recently refurbished 1990’s building on Central Avenue. Rents in the area average £14 – £17 per ft2, depending on size and quality.

De Girolami opened its first UK bases in London and Leeds in 2015, as part of its European expansion and is now operating from three UK sites and eight locations across Europe. The new facility is part of a further group expansion to serve the UK.

Logicor which has owned Unit 3 since 2015 undertook a four month refurbishment on the property which included the replacement of the wall cladding, the installation of an air source heat pump as well as EV charging stations. It took the EPC rating of the property from a ‘D’ to a ‘B’. The property can now support De Girolami’s commitments to minimise carbon emissions. It has 8.25m eaves as well as two dock and one level access door.

De Girolami general manager Peter Claridge said: “Working with Logicor to grow our UK footprint means we can reach more customers across the UK and deliver quicker distribution while maintaining the seamless service our customers expect. That we’re able to grow with a partner who can help us minimise our carbon emissions is of even greater value.”

The deal with De Girolami at West Molesey marked Logicor’ s 100th letting across its 1,300 UK properties this year.

Hollis Hockley and Cattaneo Commercial advised Logicor.
