AH WORTH has invested in a new forklift fleet as part of its commitment to supporting safety, efficiency and resilience across its Lincolnshire operations.

The nine Toyota forklift trucks were delivered by Skegness-based company Truckmasters Handling to the company’s Fosdyke, Lincolnshire site on Thursday 11 June, strengthening the equipment available to its teams. The new fleet includes six Toyota 8FGF25 2.5-tonne gas trucks and three Toyota 9FBE16T 1.6-tonne electric trucks, each tailored to the demands of a busy fresh produce environment. Three of the gas trucks have been fitted with advanced onboard weighing systems, making real-time weighing a key feature of the investment.

The advanced onboard weighing systems enable loads to be weighed in real time while on the forks, helping to streamline internal flows by reducing the need for separate weighing stages, double handling and unnecessary vehicle movements.

The system also supports consistently accurate load weights, helping to minimise product giveaway, prevent overloading and maintain tighter control over yield and costs. By combining fewer movements with precise, repeatable weight readings, the technology is designed to support lower operating costs and more reliable day-to-day handling. One gas truck also includes a 360-degree rotator – a KAUP 2T351.2 Rotator and forks. This attachment provides enhanced load handling capabilities for applications requiring controlled tipping and was supplied by B&B Attachments.

The gas trucks are also fitted with front, rear and in-cab camera systems to improve visibility, alongside LED safety lights which display a safety zone around the truck. The electric trucks have been specified for continuous use, with full battery change facilities, spare batteries, camera systems, LED safety lights, keypad entry and rear assist features. The fleet was supplied and will be serviced by Truckmasters Handling, based in Skegness, Lincolnshire.
