Amazon Logistics starts Sunday deliveries

Amazon Logistics has started a Sunday delivery service for Amazon Prime members in selected cities in England.

Amazon Prime members, who receive unlimited One-Day Delivery on millions of items, can now receive their packages on a Sunday at no additional charge in London, Birmingham, Milton Keynes, Oxford, Nottingham, Manchester and Leeds.

The service was trialled in London for four weeks in the run up to Christmas.

The offering will be provided via the Amazon Logistics service which operates a number of delivery stations that act as hubs for deliveries in their local area. Amazon Logistics works with regional delivery partners to deliver items directly to customers.

Amazon Logistics UK director Jamie Stephenson said: “Customers appreciated the immediacy of Sunday deliveries during the Christmas period and we were able to deliver thousands more parcels in this way in those four weeks. We’re delighted to now extend this service.”
