A SPOKESPERSON from Amazon confirmed the move last week: “We weigh a variety of factors when deciding where to develop future sites or maintain a presence and, in this case, we have elected not to pursue the development at Waterbrook Park.”
The 18.5 acre plot previously earmarked for Amazon has now been put back on the market by site owner GSE Group as suitable for the development of one warehouse or split into a number of smaller units. The site is located close to Junction 10 and 10a of the M20 motorway.
The Amazon depot would have comprised a 127,186 ft2 warehsoue with 14.5m eaves with multiple launch bays, van waiting bays and cage bays as well as a decked van storage area for a 614 electric vans.
