AO rolls out Larkhall investment
To support continued growth in Scotland, AO has now invested in a brand-new fleet of delivery vans and created eight full-time jobs for people in South Lanarkshire.

THE ONLINE electricals retailer first moved to its 20,000 sq ft site at Strutherhill Industrial Estate in July 2021, relocating from its previous base at Canderside Toll Distribution Centre. Since then, the Larkhall outbase has become a key part of AO’s UK delivery network.
The investment also includes upgrades to the depot itself, with refreshed signage and improvements to employee facilities, including newly redecorated office, training, and break room spaces.
Scott Chapman, depot manager at AO’s Larkhall outbase, said: “Reaching five years in Larkhall is a really proud moment for us. Over that time, we’ve built a fantastic team and become part of the local community.

AO’s Larkhall depot has recently undergone a rebrand and refresh, including updated branding, refreshed paintwork and new vans. We need a series of internal/external GV shots, along with people-focused images. The photos will support ongoing recruitment communications, showcasing Larkhall as a modern logistics outbase and a great place to work.
“This investment is about building on that – continuing to create opportunities for local people and making sure we remain a great place for local people to work and grow.
“We’re excited about the future and looking forward to welcoming new team members.”
