Barberry lands third Midlands site
Commercial property developer and investor Barberry has announced its latest site acquisition in the Midlands – the third so far this year.

BARBERRY HAS acquired the last remaining plot at Tournament Fields Business Park in Warwick from Sackville Developments a fully owned subsidiary of Clowes Developments (UK). It plans to deliver an 80,000 ft2 Grade A distribution and logistics unit on the site which will be built to target BREEAM Excellent and an EPC A rating.
Development director Jon Robinson said: “The development of a best-in-class c:80,000 sq ft unit will help to address the ongoing shortage of new, high quality industrial accommodation in the West Midlands.”
The company simultaneously exchanged and completed the purchase within 10 working days of instructing solicitors.
Earlier this month (March) Barberry unveiled plans for a £14 million 70,000 ft2 warehouse development on the site at Quinton Business Park, Ridgeway, Birmingham after acquiring it in an off-market deal for an undisclosed sum.
While in January Barberry unveiled pland to develop a £10.4 million 50,750 ft2 advanced manufacturing facility at Ansty Park, Coventry, after completing the acquisition of the Viggen Way site from Homes England.
Currently Barberry has a 2.4 million ft2 industrial/logistics development pipeline with a Gross Development Value of more than £395 million..
