Big box scheme planned for Preston

Development company Monte Blackburn is preparing to submit plans for a 930,00 ft2 industrial and logistics scheme near Preston in the Northwest.

THE SCHEME, which totals 65.48 acres, will consist of two big box warehouses of 637,223.5 ft2 and 232,500.47 ft2 as well as three 8,000 ft2 units and two Drive Thru’s.

The developer has submitted an Environmental Impact Assessment scoping report and subject to being given the go-ahead by Preston Council will then submit a hybrid application for the 930,217.14 ft2 scheme with details of the proposed access and spine road to be submitted in full, and the remainder of the development to be submitted in outline form.

The development will also include substantial landscaping together with opportunities for biodiversity enhancement.

The development will be known as Frontier Park Preston. Monte Blackburn has two other scheme in the region Frontier Park Burnley and Frontier Park Blackburn.
