Birmingham midbox warehouses gain planning
Detailed planning consent has been granted for a 93,900 ft2 midbox warehouse scheme on a 6-acre plot fronting Solihull Parkway on Birmingham Business Park in the West Midlands

THE SCHEME, known as Diamond, is made up of two units of 42,890 ft2 and 51,010 ft2 and will be delivered on a speculative basis, funded by BlackRock Real Estate.
The units will offer modern, high-specification accommodation, including up to 47m yard depths, 10m eaves, 50kN/m² floor loading and a 500kVA power supply. They will be built to achieve BREEAM Excelent and an EPC A rating. Environmental features will include PV solar panels, EV charging infrastructure, rainwater harvesting and air source heat pumps.
Lysander Associates is the project manager on the scheme, with Blue Earth appointed as main contractor. Construction is already underway, and practical completion is scheduled for December 2026.
Diamond represents the first new development at Birmingham Business Park since the completion of the Granite scheme in 2020.
