Carlsberg Britvic get spades in ground
The West Midlands Interchange (WMI) site is being developed by Oxford Properties, and Logistics Capital Partners (LCP).

THE 222,000 sq ft new unit will be taken up by Carlsberg Britvic, who will be investing £4 million in the site, supporting ambitions for its UK logistics footprint.
Carlsberg Britvic property & facilities director David Bodily, said: “The West Midlands Interchange will play an important role in Carlsberg Britvic’s logistics network, as the home to our West Midlands Depot serving customers throughout the region from Q4 2026.
“This is a very special moment for the development as work begins, and we are proud to take part and mark the occasion.
“Our new depot will provide a fantastic long-term hub for our people and reinforces the West Midlands role as a key centre for logistics in the UK, helping to drive growth and excellence.”
The new depot, purpose-built to Carlsberg Britvic’s requirements will feature state-of-the-art facilities. Designed with a focus on energy efficiency and building performance, the depot is targeting a BREEAM ‘Excellent’ certification and will be a Net Zero Carbon Aligned building based on the pilot UK Net Zero Carbon Building Standard, while the roofs are optimised for PV panels.
The groundbreaking ceremony, attended by representatives from Winvic, LCP, Oxford Properties, Carlsberg Britvic and South Staffordshire District Council marked the milestone of works starting for the first occupier at WMI.
