Construction starts on biggest ever UK speculative warehouse
Developer Panattoni has commenced construction of a 915,000 ft2 speculative logistics facility at Panattoni Park Swindon – the biggest ever speculative warehouse development in the UK so far.

THE ANNOUNCEMENT comes swiftly on the heels of the developer letting of its previous record-breaking speculative facility, an 885,000 ft2 unit at its 1.2 million ft2 Panattoni Park Avonmouth scheme to 3PL GXO for a contract with Amazon.
Panattoni Park Swindon, is located on the 360-acre former Honda site in Swindon. The developer is committing over £900 million, to bring forward a 7.2 million ft2 of state-of-the-art industrial and logistics scheme on the site.
It has announced that it has just started construction of two speculative facilities on the site the 915,000 ft2 unit and a further 545,000 ft2 unit. Both units are expected to achieve practical completion Q1 2026.
The scheme also has outline planning for a single unit of up to 1.2 million ft2 on a build to suit basis.
Savills and DTRE are joint letting agents.
