Defence manufacturer snaps up Leeds warehouse
Defence and security barrier manufacturer DIRICKX Systems has snapped up a warehouse at Leeds Valley Park effectively doubling its manufacturing capability as it continues its rapid expansion since starting up three years ago..

THE DEAL sees Leeds-based DIRICKX Systems Ltd take Greater Manchester Pension Fund’s43,836 ft2 warehouse known as Unit 3 at Leeds Valley Park in West Yorkshire.
The brand-new speculative warehouse has 10m eaves four dock and three level access doors as well as 3,220 ft 2 first floor offices. It has a BREEAM Very Good and EPC A rating and was developed by Caddick.
DIRICKX Systems Operations Director Adam Robinson said: “After rapid growth since DIRICKX Systems was established three years ago, our investment in Leeds Valley Park marks a significant milestone – doubling our UK manufacturing capability, supporting our long-term growth ambitions and enabling us to meet the rising global demand for high-performance defence products.
“With over 95% of our products exported and key contracts already secured with organisations including the UK Ministry of Defence and NATO, we are proud to be the UK’s leading manufacturer of this type of force protection, flying the flag for British manufacturing in the global defence sector.”
This letting leaves just one unit remaining at Leeds Valley Park – Unit 5, comprising 60,949 ft2. Joint letting agenst were Carter Towler, Aviso Young and CBRE. Catella APAM, is acting as Asset Manager on behalf of Greater Manchester Pension Fund. Knight Frank advised DIRCKX Systems.
