Developer plans million ft2 brownfield scheme in Derby

Brackley Property Developments is aiming to submit outline plans for up to 1 million ft2 of R&D, Advanced Manufacturing and industrial and logistics space on a brownfield site in Derby following an Environmental Impact Assessment application.

THE SITE, known as AXIS 50 (formerly Burnaston Cross) is strategically located immediately adjacent to the A38 and A50 dual carriageways providing access to the M1 and M6 motorways nearby Willington in the East Midlands.

Totalling some 77.9 acres the proposals outline in the EIA envision five office/R&D buildings totalling 115,000 ft2 ranging from  18,500 ft2  to 8,500 ft2  on a 6.3 acre plot as well as a further nine  Advanced manufacturing nad Logistics buildings totalling 753,884 ft2 ranging in size from 16,034 ft2 to 255,575 ft2. According to marketing information the  buildings will be available on  both a leasehold or freehold basis.
