THE PROPERTY once occupied by waste management firm BIFFA has underwent an £8 million refurbishment as reported in Logistics Matters last year which saw it stripped back to the supporting steelwork and completely rebuilt with new cladding, new roof and new concrete floor.
Marketed by Naylors Gavin Black and HTA Real Estate the property has 10m eaves, 360 degree circulation as well as seven dock and one level access door. It has LED lighting throughout and 1MvA of power supplemented by roof mounted PV providing 368,000 Kwh per annum.
DHL Supply Chain will move from a circa 70,000 ft2 space split across two units in Hebburn to the larger property, to allow for expansion and fulfil current contracts.
Naylors Gavin Black partner Keith Stewart said: “Our client, Kans and Kandy have done an excellent job maximising the potential and standard of this property and DHL will benefit from a fantastic facility that will improve operations and better meet their ESG goals.”
