DHL warehouse build to go ahead despite protest

The plan for a DHL warehouse at Magna Park in Leicestershire has been approved by Harborough District Council.

Hundreds of local people objected to the development, which will be built by Gazeley, on the grounds that it would increase commuter traffic to the locality.

The 1 million sq ft warehouse will now go ahead unless Ministers intervene on the side of protesters.

A further two larger Magna Park expansion plans are in the pipeline.

Gazeley says the first expansion will create 1,200 jobs.
