DSV takes major pre-let on the next phase of IM Properties’ Mercia Park in Leicestershire
Global transport and logistics company DSV has signed up as the first tenant for the next phase of IM Properties’ 5 million ft2 + Mercia Park scheme in Leicestershire.

THE COMPANY has pre-let a circa.600,000 ft2 unit on the 71-acre £150 million Mercia Park expansion, located at Junction 11 of the M42 motorway, which will leave a further plot capable of delivering up to 450,000 ft2 designed for local and national manufacturers and logistics companies.
DSV is already occupies a 1m ft2 flagship facility at the park sitting alongside Jaguar Land Rover’s 3 million ft2 Global Logistics Centre, which together employ more than 2,500 people.
The site, which has yet to secure planning, has been identified as a potential location for future development in North-West Leicestershire District Council’s emerging plan, and an application is due be presented to the Council’s Planning Committee shortly.

Mercia Park’s expansion will reflect IMP’s commitment to industry leading sustainability standards, targeting BREEAM Excellent and EPC A rating, with a range of energy-efficient measures in place and green infrastructure to connect the two schemes and enhance the 4 km of amenity parkland, 12 hectares of woodland, wetlands, and wildflower meadows already established at Mercia Park.
