Dunelm secures warehouse for home delivery

THE FTSE 250 retailer has taken a 20,400 ft2 property on a 10 -year lease to support the business’s Home Delivery Network, improving the 2-man delivery service for its customers.

The facility, which was speculatively built last year, has a BREEAM “Very Good” and EPC A rating. It has  a PV installation, 20 EV charging points, rainwater harvesting and a sustainable heating and cooling system, as well as a building envelope design that is sympathetic to the surrounding environment.

Only one 50,255 ft2 unit remains available for occupation within Phase 2 of th scheme and plans are afoot to progress with a 138,000 ft2 unit  together with a further three units totalling 429,000 ft2 making up Phase 3 of the scheme located adjacent to Junction 36 of the M1 motorway.

Last year lifestyle fashion brand Lucy & Yak took a 39,200 ft2 property on the scheme on a 10-year lease generating an annualised rent of £300,000 – equating to approximately £7.65 per ft2
