THE NEW site at 335 Shepcote Lane Sheffield was acquired in October last year from Rula Developments for an undisclosed sum.
The site was formerly the home of engineering firm Tinsley Bridge Group and was sold with permission for the demolition of the existing buildings and redevelopment of the site to provide up to 265,500 ft2 of new logistics and industrial space in a single unit.
VGP Developments UK contracted Demolition Services to carry out the raising of the site through December 2025 to August 2026
VGP secured its first site off Junction 24 of the M1 motorway for £20 million from developer Newlands last year. The scheme known as VGP East Midlands will total 835,000 ft2
Newlands is acting as the development manager for the 43.49 acre VGP East Midlands site which will see the construction of two units known as Unit 3 and Unit 4 within Phase One, measuring 256,258 ft2 and 141,000 ft2 respectively. Both units will include integrated office space and will be built to target BREEAM Excellent and an EPC A rating.
VGP said: “We are proud to announce the launch of VGP Park Sheffield, our second development in the United Kingdom. Located on a regenerated brownfield site close to Sheffield city centre.
“This second site marks an important step in VGP’s growing presence in the UK and reflects our commitment to delivering sustainable, high‑quality industrial parks supported by in‑house engineering expertise and an integrated development approach.”
