Expect the unexpected
Experts will uncover insights on challenging warehouse implementations at the Tomorrow’s Warehouse Coventry event on May 14 at the CBS Arena.

THE EVENT will explore real lessons learned through hands‑on implementations, highlighting what worked, what didn’t, and why.
We are delighted to announce that SAP consultancy and headline sponsor Westernacher will present on Behind the build: what our implementations have taught us.
Deborah Bethell (Practice Director Warehousing UK&I, Westernacher) and Matthias Platzer (Practice Transportation UK&I, Westernacher) will co-present sharing practical insights, unexpected challenges to look out for, examples of managing change across diverse teams, tips for navigating the technical and human factors, and identifying the repeatable practices that consistently delivered value. Attendees will gain an understanding of how to avoid the common pitfalls, the strategies that delivered success, and the key takeaways that can strengthen and streamline future implementations, regardless of scale or complexity.

Deborah is a Supply Chain and SAP EWM Solution Architect with nearly 30 years of experience supporting customers in achieving exceptional results with their warehousing and logistics solutions. Over the course of her career, she has guided organisations through complex transformations, optimised operational processes, and designed scalable, efficient warehouse management systems aligned with business goals. Her deep technical knowledge, combined with a strong understanding of end-to-end supply chain processes, enables her to deliver solutions that drive performance, accuracy, and long-term value.

Matthias has 13+ years of experience, assesses customer and market requirements and supports clients on their digitisation journey to achieve operational excellence in supply chain networks. For optimal support, he offers a combination of business process design and the selection of appropriate IT tools.
The session at Tomorrow’s Warehouse also includes a Wake up call on digital twins from Simon Ratcliffe, a Retail Logistics Leader who has worked for The White Company, Debenhams, Fat Face and more as a supply chain and warehousing leader. The implications of the digital twin on logistics and warehousing will be radical and the industry has not yet woken up to this. Simon will outline how logistics professionals need to get to grips with digital twins now and how this shift in technology will change the emphasis of their roles in the coming years.

David Bailey (Director of Consumer Products in the UK, Arvato) will present on From Concept to Go‑Live: Practical Lessons from Scaling an Automated Goods‑to‑Person Solution. This insight-laden presentation will focus on context and operational drivers; practical lessons from an AutoStore hardware rollout; insights into integrating WMS with an automated system; and real impact on people and operations. Expect actionable takeaways for your next project.
The session finishes with a discussion panel with the presenters, plus:
- Simon Allen (Managing Director, Breathe Technologies)
- Carrie Tallett (Senior Product Manager, Forterro)
- James Percival (Business Development Manager, TGW Logistics)
- Speaker TBC (Logistex)
… So rock up with your operational questions and get experts to answer them.
