Forklift training school opens in Rugby

Midlands recruitment and training firm eResponse has opened a Forklift Truck Training School.

The school will be housed in the company’s new 6,000 sq ft branch in Rugby.
The training hub was opened by Rugby MP Mark Pawsey, represents a £60,000 investment, and has delivered 15 jobs.

The facility offers a variety of nationally-recognised forklift truck qualifications and can train over 200 people per month. It will also offer other training courses to temporary workers on topics such as manual handling, health and safety and first aid.
Nicky Grogan, regional manager for eResponse in Warwickshire, said: “We know the local jobs market well and through the new training school we can offer all the tools people need if they are interested in a career as a forklift truck operator or upskilling for other related roles.
“The jobs market across Warwickshire is on the up and that means businesses need people quickly and with the right skills. The warehousing and logistics sectors are just two which are thriving and that means there is a big call for fully trained people. That’s what the new training school is here to deliver and why we’ve made a significant five-figure investment.
“We’ll be training people, helping them to forge new careers and playing a part in finding them jobs with local employers. It’s great to be offering all that under one roof here in Rugby.”
