Frozen food logistics centre planned for Avonmouth
Following a deal earlier this year to Amazon for a 209,000 ft2 last mile delivery station earlier this year, Canadian real estate development and investment firm EPTA Development Corporation (EDC) and development partner Stoford have submitted planning proposals for a Frozen Food Logistics Centre at its 2 million ft2 Axis Works scheme in Avonmouth to South Gloucester Council.

THE PROPOSALS for the bespoke Frozen Logistics Centre, revealed exclusively by Logistics Matters in April this year, are for the building known as Unit 2 which will consist 202,088 ft2 of space on a 16.1-acre plot. The building will include a 38m high bay area to accommodate cold storage/freezer operations, a mezzanine and offices.
In addition, the building will have 13 dock and one level access door. Ther is parking for 70HGvs and 13 vans. The facility will target a BREEAM Excellent and an EPC A rating.
The facility is for an as yet undisclosed occupier.
