Gazebo Fine Foods widens outsourced cold chain operation with JS Davidson
Frozen and chilled food manufacturer Gazebo Fine Foods has extended its year-old partnership with temperature-controlled storage specialist JS Davidson beyond warehousing into container unloading, tempering, sleeving and date coding, with further value-added services now under discussion.

THE ARRANGEMENT has allowed Gazebo to release capacity at its own Wembley facility while retaining the agility to respond to changing customer requirements. The manufacturer had previously run these operations in-house.
Gazebo manufactures in the UK while also working with selected production partners in India and China.
As those international supply chains have expanded, so has the need for a temperature-controlled partner able to take containers directly from port and handle product through to despatch.
Gazebo approached JS Davidson following a recommendation from industry contacts. The two businesses are now exploring extending repacking and sleeving activity across a wider range of products.
For JS Davidson, the account demonstrates a complete outsourced offer for food manufacturers, combining temperature-controlled storage with container devanning, tempering, repacking, sleeving, date coding, labelling and product rework.
