Guess speeds up fashion fulfilment with 127-robot Exotec system at GXO Venlo
Fashion brand Guess is now being served by a 127-robot Exotec Skypod system at GXO’s facility in Venlo, the Netherlands, which can process up to 70,000 pieces a day for distribution across EMEA and Asia.
THE INSTALLATION comprises 60,000 rack locations, eight goods-to-person picking stations and 200 metres of conveyor. During peak periods it achieves throughput of up to 2,200 order lines an hour.
GXO manages inbound logistics and outbound distribution for Guess at the site, along with value-added services such as quality control and garment conditioning. The automation is intended to raise throughput and productivity while supporting future growth for the brand.
GXO and Exotec designed the system around the demands of fashion logistics, including high SKU counts and seasonal swings in demand. Exotec coordinated integration and end-to-end deployment across the facility.
