Hear lessons learned from Ocado’s Andover fire

Posted on Monday 23 May 2022

Ocado will present at our Tomorrow’s Warehouse conference on June 9 at Coventry’s CBS Arena to share lessons learned from the catastrophic fire at its Andover fulfillment centre in 2019.

Many companies would run from speaking about a difficult matter like this, so Ocado should be applauded for stepping up to the plate and taking time to share the lessons learned from the disaster, which started deep in the robotic heart of the facility.

With automated warehouses increasingly common, it will be exciting to hear Ocado speak on lessons learned from the fire.

Alison Phillips, the Head of Fire Safety at Ocado Group, will explain how these lessons have enabled the business to become a leader in fire prevention and mitigation.

Alison is an innovative Risk Engineer with a career spanning over 20 years. She has held dynamic roles within consultancy, financial services and working directly for clients. Alison is now spearheading the fire safety strategy within Ocado Group.
