Help out the waste warriors!
CONNECT AID is a nationwide humanitarian and food share project dedicated to saving 100 tonnes of food a month for projects such as its independent food bank.

Other projects include sharing with community groups, Diversity For Dinner (a cultural food project we run for people in hotels with refugee and asylum seeker status who can't access kitchen facilities to cook their own food – Connect Aid provides a free cultural meal and invites the public to celebrate inclusion and break down barriers).
Connect Aid also provides a Pet Food Bank Project, and Community Fridges. It runs a surplus and past best before supermarket chain called Save It Discount Store CIC, where it sells food on for a discounted price if it has permission. This goes on to fund all the work it does, as well as its humanitarian projects – such as sending 889 pallets of food over to Ukraine, and 7 40ft containers of aid to Syria.
Connect Aid waste warrior Alice Bathie says: “We work with logistics companies and warehouses who get stuck with stock that's rejected/damaged/surplus/mislabeled by collecting the items for free, which helps save on disposal costs. Working with us also aids companies with their corporate social responsibility.”
