Members of the Automated Material Handling Systems Association (AMHSA) voted at its recent AGM to appoint Hilton Campbell as the association’s new President.

HAVING SPENT 27 years in the intralogistics industry, Hilton Campbell brings experience spanning various industries and markets to the role of President, which he will hold for the usual two-year term. Known for his eagerness to challenge the status quo and his disruptive – yet constructive – approach, he brings a fresh perspective to AMHSA.

“I’m delighted and honoured to become AMHSA President at an exciting time for the automated material handling sector,” comments Hilton. “I look forward to helping AMHSA continue to drive innovation and growth within our industry, as well as increasing the association’s membership. Members of all sizes have a critical role to play in today’s fast-changing automation sector, especially with the onset of AI, the acceleration of the digital era and the importance of environmental initiatives, social responsibility and good governance within our sector.”

With a degree in Industrial Engineering, Hilton Campbell has been Managing Director of Interroll UK since 2019. He was previously MD of the company’s South African operation and, since April of this year, has also taken responsibility for Interroll’s integration and transformation activities in new and emerging markets. Away from the office, Hilton enjoys spending time with his family and friends – especially enjoying Braai (South African BBQ) – and playing the occasional game of golf.

“AMHSA is the best starting point for any company looking to kick-start or enhance its automation journey,” says Hilton. “Today’s modular, scalable automation solutions enable firms to start small and scale up based on their evolving business needs.”
