IMC LOGISTICS has signed a lease on a 42,118 ft2 cross dock facility at Spitfire Park, close to Jaguar Land Rover’s Castle Bromwich plant and Fort Dunlop, which was previously leased to DHL..
The property, Spitfire X-Dock, is set on a 3.4-acre site and has a very low site coverage of just 29% and an unusually high number of dock level loading doors – 46 plus one level access. It has 5.5m eaves height, gatehouse and two yards of 30m and 42m, and the landlord worked closely with the IMC to deliver a tailored refurbishment.
Harris Lamb advised on the deal jointly with JLL. Director Matthew Tilt, said: “IMC Logistics is a successful Midlands-based business providing express shipping by road, air and sea, and offering a secure 24/7 warehouse monitoring service to clients to ensure their goods are safely stored and shipped. With an existing facility in Tamworth, the company wanted to expand its operation with a further Midlands site.”
