International pharmaceutical manufacturer snaps up Midlands warehouse

UK-based international vitamin and health food supplement manufacturer Brunel Healthcare Manufacturing has taken Farran Investments Tetron142 warehouse in Swadlincote in the East Midlands.

THE RECENTLY refurbished property, totaling 142,368 ft2, has been taken on a 15-year lease. It was marketed with a quoting rent of £8.50 per ft2. It will be used as a new HQ and warehouse facility following the rapid growth of the company.

The buildings boasts 133,748 ft2 of warehouse space with 11.2m eaves, 12 dock and two level access doors served by a 50m yard. It has 8,620 ft2 of three storey offices including a canteen.

Brunel Healthcare CEO John Hackett said: “We’ve been manufacturing vitamins and health food supplements in the Swadlincote area since the late 1800’s. We have experienced rapid growth over the last 15 years, and the lease of Tetron142 is an important part of our next chapter, with increasing growth opportunities for us, both at home, and in international markets.”

Tom Donnachie, senior asset manager at Farran Investments, said: “The letting is a direct result of our capital investment to upgrade the building, and the strategy to enhance assets within our portfolio. We are delighted to support Brunel Healthcare’s expansion in the area and look forward to seeing them increase their UK growth in the coming years.”
