Intralogistics provider Jungheinrich secures warehouse

Intralogistics provider Jungheinrich UK has secured a new hub in Buckinghamshire.

THE COMPANY has agreed a three-year lease on a 9,232 ft2 distribution unit at Warehouse REIT’s at 335,000 ft2 Bradwell Abbey industrial estate in Milton Keynes.

The property has undergone extensive refurbishment to boost energy efficiency. Warehouse REIT has also upgraded the amenities for the whole Bradwell Abbey Park and Bradwell Abbey Hub.

On its website Warehouse REIT noted: “We have completed a full range of energy efficient initiatives, including LED lighting upgrades, installation of efficient mechanical ventilation and air conditioning, electrification of hot water and heat, air source heat pumps and fabric improvements, including improved insulation and door replacements.

“As a result, 48% of the site is now EPC A-C compared to 38% on acquisition. In addition, our refurbishment works will include public amenities such as a gym and coffee shop as well as improved access to the public realm and the introduction of native species to improve biodiversity.”

On its acquisition by Warehouse REIT Bradwell Abbey posted  average rents of £7.83 per ft2 compared to an estimated rental value of £9.89 per ft2.
