JD.com secures another Midlands logistics facility
Chinese international online retail and logistics conglomerate JD.com’s property arm Jingdong Property has signed a development agreement with UK developer Newlands Developments for the delivery a new 250,000 ft2 logistics facility at Coton Park, Rugby.

THE FACILITY will target BREEAM Excellent and a EPCA+ rating. The scheme will also facilitate Biodiversity Net Gain and other on-site habitat creation, as well as contributing towards wider local infrastructure upgrades, including a contribution towards local cycling initiatives.

Agents Cushman & Wakefield, Savills, Wallis Real Estate, and Lambert Smith Hampton, advised on the deal.
Jingdong Property entered the UK Market in mid 2022 with the acquisition of a 361,000 ft2 logistics facility in Milton Keynes . A year later it secured the first and second phases of Apollo, Ansty Park near Coventry comprising seven units across two phases. The first three units were completed in early 2023 and fully let. These units achieved BREEAM Excellent and EPC A ratings. The second phase of four units, completed in 2024.
