THE FIRST collaboration between Microgrid infrastructure company SNRG, landlord LondonMetric and tenant Greencore will see the design and installation of a SmartGrid of 726 PV panels complemented by a robust 100kW/200kWh battery storage system, on Greencore’s Bicester warehouse.

The SmartGrid will provide up to with a 302kWp of electricity through the solar panels which could see an 18% reduction in electricity costs and a potential mitigation of up to 39 tons of CO2 emissions in 2024 alone.

SNRG is fully funding the installation, amounting to approximately £400,000. Furthermore, energy will be supplied to Greencore at economically favourable rates, ensuring both environmental and financial benefits.

In Coventry  275 kWp of solar has been installed on a warehouse at Middlemarch Indsutrial Park let to national food producer Aubrey Allen. The system will provide Aubrey Allen with c.25% of its annual energy needs.

These solar PV arrays are expected to save c.100 tonnes of COemissions per annum and increase LondonMetric’s total installed solar PV capacity to 4.2MWp.

LondonMetric Asset Director Mark Stirling, said: “Our focus is on meeting occupier requirements in a rapidly evolving environment by working in partnership with them to ensure their longevity and commitment to our assets. We are increasingly engaging with our occupiers to help them deliver on their net zero carbon targets and reduce their energy costs.”
