Logistics company buys Knowsley depot

3PL Denholm Good Logistics has paid £11 million for the freehold of a circa.200,000 ft2 warehouse in Knowsley in the Northwest.

THE EXPANDING 3PL has bought Stainton International and Euro Property Investment’s Knowsley 200 facility that sits on a 10.73 acre site  in Knowsley Business Park in Merseyside.

Denholm Good Logistics Managing Director Stuart Gosling, said: “We’ve been planning this move to extend our timber operations in the North West for the last three years, and have been working with [property consultant] Colliers to find the right location which supports our growth ambitions to streamline  timber distribution directly to customers. Knowsley 200 is a great size, modern unit located in a freeport zone which is ideal for our global business model.”

The 199,092 ft2 facility has a 190,359 ft2 warehouse with 5 – 7m eaves height as well as 12 dock and five level access doors. It has 8,470 ft2 of two storey offices as well as a 263 ft2 security hub. It has an EPC B rating and was sold unrefurbished.

Colliers’ Manchester Industrial & Logistics team director John Sullivan, who advised Denholm Good, said: “One of the additional benefits of Knowsley 200 is that it’s based in one of the largest employment areas of the UK, meaning it has a strong labour supply as well as complementary sectors with which to do business in the region. We’re pleased to have worked with Denholm Logistics to find the right location for its expansion plans.”
