Luton Business Park expansion plans submitted

Property developer HBD has submitted an outline planning application for the next phase of Luton’s Butterfield Business Park in the Southeast.

THE APPLICATION seeks a further 454,000 ft2  of employment space on the 83-acre development, where HBD has already delivered more than 325,000 ft2 of commercial space.

Existing occupiers include Eden Farm and Shoal Group, which runs its UK operations from its purpose-built headquarters at Butterfield, plus a range of SMEs within the scheme’s Quad development, which was built speculatively and created to provide space for local businesses to expand.

The outline applications is seeking permission for a number of units ranging from 9,797 ft2 to 95,695 ft2 catering for local SME and logistics businesses.

Knight Frank has been appointed to manage the planning process and consultation for the next phase of Butterfield Business Park.
