THE PARTNERSHIP secured a new 999-year lease on the 6.5-acre site after Tesco decided to  dispose of its long term interest. The site originally under the ownership of Letchworth Garden City Heritage Foundation, was leased long-term to Tesco.

Wrenbridge and Bridges will develop a three unit £50 million scheme on the site which will target BREEAM Outstanding and EPC A+ rating. Planning is due to be submitted next month with practical completion due mid 2026.

Tesco was represented by JLL and Savills represented Wrenbridge. Kirkby Diamond and Clarke Willmott represented Letchworth Garden City Heritage Foundation.

JLL Head of Land Sales & Development Ian Hall, said:  “This transaction demonstrates the continued strength and resilience of the UK industrial market.”
