New warehouses for Milton Keynes

Developer Newlands has secured detailed planning permission for two warehouses in Milton Keynes.

THE DEVELOPMENT known as Equites Park Milton Keynes will comprise two units of 448,336 ft2 and 343,666 ft2 will be built on a 50-acre site just off Willen Road, two miles from  Junction 14 of the M1 motorway.

They will target BREEAM Outstanding and EPC A rating and have 18m eaves and three storey offices. Unit 1 will boast 40 dock and two level access doors as well as a 50m yard, 132 HGV spaces and 467 car parking spaces with 48 active EV chargers and a further 96 passive. Unit 2 will have 28 dock and two level access doors a 55m yard parking for 101 HGVs and 357 cars. There will be 36 active EV chargers and a further 72 passive.

Infrastructure works will commence in the summer 2023 with the intention of the buildings being available for 2024.

The planning notice reported that: “The scheme is considered to be a high-quality development supporting the delivery of an employment use within an allocated site. It is well-designed, and features an extensive landscaping scheme of tree planting, hedgerow planting and dense vegetation buffers, alongside internal landscaping features to mitigate the impacts of the proposals.”
