New FLTA chairman

Jofson director Geoff Martin has been appointed the new chairman of the Fork Lift Truck Association (FLTA) after three years as vice chairman, succeeding Martyn Fletcher, who will be stepping into the role of association president.

Storage buy-out
France-based Averys Group will acquire the Stow division from the Kardex Group. Kardex Stow and Averys both specialise in static racks and storage systems.

Kion considers flotation
The Kion Group, which comprises forklift brands Linde, STILL, Fenwick, Baoli and Voltas, is considering an IPO in 2013. The company could sell up to 25% of the company, in what would be one of Germany’s biggest flotations this year.

Knapp UK new md
Craig Rollason has been appointed managing director at Knapp UK, while previous MD, David James, moves up to a new role of regional director for the UK, Sweden, Norway and Finland.
