ALL FAIRY Liquid sold in the UK is produced at P&G’s London Plant in Thurrock, which has been part of the capital’s manufacturing base for more than 90 years. The site’s film follows bottles from the production line into the on-site distribution centre and out to retailers nationwide.

“Having our manufacturing plant and distribution centre together at Thurrock means we can think about the journey from production line to retailer as one connected operation,” said Timon Soliman, vice president of product supply for P&G Northern Europe. “We’re continuing to invest in automation where it adds value, helping us build a supply chain that can respond quickly and is ready for whatever the future holds.”

The series, From Our Home to Yours, also goes inside the Gillette plant in Reading and Pampers production in Manchester, with employees describing how roles have evolved and how expertise is passed between generations.

P&G sells around 24 products every second in the UK. Soliman said the company’s job was to keep those products moving from its sites to retailers “whatever is happening in the world”, and that the films were intended to show younger people what a modern manufacturing and supply chain career looks like.
