THE DEVELOPER has secured permission from South Ribble Council for Phase two, Farington Park which will consist of four units totaling 96,000 ft2 and generate more than 170 jobs once completed.

The buildings will be built to target BREEAM Excellent and an EPC A rating. There will be sustainable heating, shower facilities, bike storage, drying rooms, PV enabled roofs, EV charging points and green walking routes throughout the site.

Caddick Developments has invested more than £500,000 into improving the circular footpath and cycleway adjacent to the scheme, known as the Leyland Loop.

In addition, Farington Park has benefitted from the installation of an outdoor gym, the creation of a seven-acre ecological area featuring extensive planting, and the creation of new habitats for local wildlife.

Knight Frank and Cushman & Wakefield are joint agents. Knight Frank partner Sam Royle, said: "This second phase of development has been tailored to address the acute lack of mid-box supply in the locality and is in response to the continued high levels of demand we are seeing from the local and regional SME market."

The first phase of the scheme a single speculatively developed industrial unit totalling 544,000 ft2 was let to Victorian Plumbing on a 20 year lease last year.
