THE APPROVED development with a £40 million GDV, will deliver up to 17 new units across the 23-acre site, which is strategically located adjacent to the Rolls-Royce Sinfin campus near the A50 and M1 motorway.
Units will be delivered in phases over the next three years, with phase one beginning this summer. They will range in size from 5,000 ft2 to 70,000 ft2, targeting EPC A and incorporating strong sustainability credentials. Features include electric vehicle charging, photovoltaic solar panels and landscaped green amenity spaces to enhance the estate’s environmental credentials.
The approval builds on ongoing transformation at Sinfin Commercial Park, which has already included the demolition of a redundant 207,000 ft2 warehouse to enable the masterplan. Works are also nearing completion on Unit F, a comprehensively redeveloped 63,000 ft2 industrial/warehouse unit that will shortly be ready for occupation.
Hortons head of building surveying and development James Slater said: “Securing planning approval is a significant step forward in our vision to reposition Sinfin Commercial Park as a leading industrial and logistics destination for the East Midlands.
“This redevelopment will deliver a high-quality, sustainable scheme that responds directly to occupier demand for modern, energy-efficient space and reflects our commitment to unlocking the full potential of the site.”
