Plans lodged for B2S warehouse

ARBCC (DRUM) wants to construct a 133,688 ft2 logistics warehouse on 10.8-acres of land at Panther Court, which is the last remaining site to be developed within the industrial estate, for caterer and foodservice business supplier Bidfood.

The proposed development will replace an existing Bidfood depot in Gateshead, which currently employs 188 staff and has reached the limit of its operational capacity.

If the plans are backed, the project will allow the group to expand with additional capacity, leading to a 25 per cent growth in employment numbers on site within five years.
