THE DETACHED 132,163 ft2 building sits on a 5.58 acre plot within Eastfield Industrial Estate on Thornborough Road and was marketed by GV&Co.

Boyes secured the site freehold and is now in the process of repurposing it as a distribution centre to support expansion.

Boyes chairman and joint managing director Andrew Boyes, said: “The process will provide considerable additional warehouse space to augment Boyes existing warehouses on Havers Hill and Hopper Hill Road, which are getting a bit cramped for the volume of stock being handled.”

Boyes currently operate 75 stores, including concessions within 4 Co-op stores with a further Boyes store planned to open in the former Wilko premises in Blyth, Northumberland.

Pindar went into administration in March 2022 with the loss of hundreds of jobs and the site has been vacant since that time.

Boyes serve more than 250,000 customers every week and employ 1500 people throughout

Pindar House, totals 92,311 ft2 of warehouse space alongside some 40,000 ft2 of office and plate manufacturing space. It has 6m eaves and three ground and three level access doors and a 48m yard.
